Are you frustrated because you don't have enough opportunities to practice your spoken English? In this video, I'm gonna give you 5 ways to use AI voice dictation to practice anytime.

These days, there are many AI voice dictation tools out there. I'm using one called Wispr Flow. Basically, it's a keyboard shortcut that allows me to speak, and as I speak, it just writes down what I say, except it doesn't just do that. If I go, make a, make a mistake and go back, it can fix that automatically. See that? Pretty cool.

### 1. Use AI tools by speaking instead of typing

The first way to use it is every time you use an AI tool. If you use it throughout the day, instead of typing, speak what you want to get done today, what you want to research, whatever you use AI tools to do instead of typing, speak.

### 2. Dictate your daily communication

Number two, speak your daily communication throughout the day, emails, text messages, whatever.

> Hey, Tina, sorry about the late reply. I'll get back to you by the end of the week.
>
> Thanks, Luke.

The bonus there is that it's formatted correctly automatically, and it corrects awkward grammar and spelling is automatically perfect.

### 3. Practice presentations and proposals, then get AI feedback

Number three, practice your spoken presentations, proposals, and then get AI feedback. You can do this directly in an AI tool. I'm using Claude here.

A lot of people really struggle with their spoken English. They really have a hard time thinking in English, which is what they need to do if they want to become fluent. This is something I've seen so many times that I had to start doing something, so I started creating courses to basically teach people the basic things that they need, the core things that they need to start doing to change their habits, to change their mindset, to practice in the right ways, to finally become fluency.

So this way I'm not just practicing by myself, and sometimes it's inconvenient to record yourself with your phone. So, having feedback from AI and using dictation to do it is, in my opinion, a great combination.

### 4. Explain what you're learning with the Feynman technique

Number four, explain what you're learning. This is called the Feynman technique. It is very useful. If you're reading a book or you're learning something, try to explain it in simple words and do dictation so that you can read back through it, maybe get corrections, maybe add to it later.

So if I was going to do that, I would talk through my understanding of whatever I've read, whatever I'm learning, and I would try to explain it like I'm talking to a child or someone who doesn't know, to simplify it because Richard Feynman believed, this is why it's called the Feynman technique, that if you can't really explain something simply, you don't really understand it. And I think that's true.

### 5. Think out loud and connect your thoughts to your words

Finally, number five, thinking out loud, whether that's ideas or just things that happen to you today, just talking, just sharing your thoughts out loud. If you can get into the habit of talking as you think, of just saying out loud what's going on in your head, most importantly, the habit of thinking in English, but also the habit of connecting your thoughts to your words, using different words to express yourself, to describe things, to explain things.

If you can get into that habit, that's a very, very powerful way to improve confidence and start speaking more naturally.

Try it out for yourself. Let me know how it goes in the comments and I'll see you in the next one.
